Usher's Wife, Tameka Foster Is Released From The Hospital

Tameka Foster has finally been released from the Brazilian Hospital:

Usher’s wife is finally out of the hospital after spending more than a week at a swanky facility in Brazil. Tameka Foster Raymond was released Monday night from Sao Paulo’s Hospital Sirio Libanes, a source tells the Associated Press, where she was admitted after suffering complications from plastic surgery. Her husband was spotted boarding a plane to the U.S. Tuesday without his wife. Raymond is on the road to recovery from a heart attack she suffered during a lipsuction procedure and is currently taking…… antibiotics to fight a lung infection, according to Brazil’s Globo TV. Raymond underwent the procedure a mere two months after giving birth to the couple’s second son, Naviyd Ely. Patients should wait six to eight months after giving birth to have the procedure, the president of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery tells the Daily News. Usher canceled a scheduled performance at record mogul Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy bash on Nov. 7 to fly to his wife’s side, citing an illness in the family. The singer’s rep released a statement soon after, which said Raymond was “suffering complications from a routine surgery,” adding, “no further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”

A spokesman for Tameka Foster Raymond’s surgeon, r&b singer Usher’s wife, says the mother of five is recovering after slipping into cardiac arrest during a liposuction
procedure. According to Ellen Dastry, spokeswoman for plastic surgeon Silivio Sternman, Raymond went into cardiac arrest…… while being anesthetized for a ’simple liposuction’ “but was revived in less than a minute by heart massage.” Dastry, who spoke with the Associated Press also states Raymond was then placed in an induced coma before being taken to the intensive-care unit, a procedure Dastry she says is “absolutely normal” and performed in order to “avoid unnecessary complications.” Sternman and Dastry’s statements follow a report issued by Brazilian news source G1, that said Raymond experienced complications and was placed in an induced coma. According to sources, Tameka Raymond remains hospitalized at the reportedly ‘posh and better equipped’ Sirio-Labanes Hospital.

Usher's Wife Tameka is Suffering "Intracranial Bleeding & Comatose"

R&B singer Usher’s wife Tameka Foster was placed in a comatose state after suffering complications with a liposuction procedure, new reports have revealed. According to E!, Foster, who flew to Brazil for the procedure, was rushed to Sao Paulo’s Sirio-Libanes Hospital after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest.

Unresponsive according to G1, Foster was placed in an induced coma for 24 hours after complications with anesthesia. Dr. Payman Simoni, a renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon blames “general anesthesia” for Foster’s complications.

“While I have not treated Usher’s wife, in my opinion, the reported need for a neurosurgeon strongly suggests complications relating to general anesthesia, which can include stroke, hypoxic brain injury, and intracranial bleeding,” said Dr. Simoni.

Simoni also notes, while a patient might be able to find a great plastic surgeon abroad, it might not be readily apparent that one must also find an equally good anesthesiologist and ensure that the anesthesia equipment is up to date.

Since speaking out earlier this week via his publicist, Usher and Foster have remained quiet. According to his publicist, “She (Foster Raymond) is in stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil. Her husband Usher is with her at the hospital”.

Usher Cancels Performance Over Wife Tameka!

Apparently Tameka went under the knife and has been in bad condition following it:

Usher has canceled his performance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party due to a family emergency, Access Hollywood has learned.

His wife, Tameka, is in Brazil and has experienced complications from plastic surgery. A neurosurgeon is on the way to South America.

A rep for Usher had no comment at this time. Josh Groban filled in for the R&B star at Davis’ annual event.

Foster, a 37-year-old stylist, recently gave birth to the couple’s second child, Naviyd Ely Raymond. The couple’s first child, Usher Raymond V, was born in November 2007.

The couple announced their engagement
in February 2007, marrying on August 3 of that year.
