-------- has learned that former Bad Boy rapper Shyne is scheduled to be released from jail after serving eight years of a 10-year sentence for first degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Shyne, real name Jamal Barrow, was convicted over a December 1999 shooting in NYC club - which left a woman with serious facial injuries. Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was also initially charged in the shooting, was acquitted by jury trial. Since Shyne’s conviction, his relationship with Diddy has become significantly strained.

But ------- has learned that Shyne is VERY close to being released. While he’s due for a parole hearing in June, but his lawyer Oscar Michelen claims he could walk free sooner than expected. He was recently quoted as saying, “We're hoping for April. He's had no problems, [and] been very positive”

Following an entertainment website’s publishing last night of a closeup photograph of what appears to be Rihanna’s badly beaten face, the Los Angeles Police Department has launched an internal investigation into the source of the leak. “The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation. The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” the LAPD said via a statement released on Thursday.”The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint. A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”

The LAPD has not officially identified Rihanna as the alleged victim in the Chris Brown domestic violence case, but it said in its statement that last night it received “numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown.”

The police statement encourages anyone with information about the source of the photo to call or visit the department’s website.

Rihanna is listless, suffering from headaches and “torn” over her parents’ pleas to cooperate with police after she was allegedly assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown, the new issue of Us Weekly reports.

“She hums sometimes, but she’s more quiet than I’ve ever seen her,” an unnamed pal of the “Umbrella” singer told Us.

The friend said Rihanna, 20, visited a doctor last Friday, five days after Brown allegedly roughed her up following a fight in the couple’s rented Lamborghini.

“It was because of the endless headaches she’s been having since Chris hit her,” the friend said.

“The doctors were concerned about the contusions on the sides of her head.”

The magazine reports that Rihanna is “torn” over helping cops build a case.

Brown, 19, was arrested the night of the Grammys on suspicion of making criminal threats and was released on $50,000 bail.

“I mean, damn, her eye’s black and the sides of her face are all f—-d up,” the friend told Us. “But she keeps saying she still loves him.”

Rihanna’s parents are reportedly pleading with her not to worry about how jail time might affect Brown’s career, according to Us. A Daily News source said the Barbados-bred beauty is cooperating with police.

Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi has dispelled the notion that he was arrested in an altercation in Phoenix during NBA All-Star Weekend.

Cudi was set to perform at a Reebok party when an altercation transpired between the rapper and Reebok employees of the event. Reports detail the verbal altercation becoming physical fight. Police were called where Cudi was then tasered after officers couldn’t control the rapper.

“I was tasered (s**t hurt like a muthaf*cka), I was not arrested.” said the rapper on his blog at kidcudi.com. “I didn’t put my hands on anyone; the muthaf*cka I was trying to touch, I couldn’t reach his f**kin’ collar to grab him.”

In reports by eyewitnesses, the rapper defiantly wore Jordans to a Reebok party as the source of the altercation, but Cudi claimed that intelligence is false.

“It wasn’t over me wearing Jordans. I arrived at the event in the most ‘fugliest’ Reeboks ever,” he said.

Cudi also noted that he immediately left the scene in car service after the incident ended.

Although the rapper presented his side in his blog, he was vague about why the altercation transpired. He said he just wants to make music not be involved in such drama. “This s**t really makes me want to fall back on this music s**t yo, s**t is getting out of hand,” he lamented. “I’m just a dude who wants to make ill music to help people on their day to day grind, help them get thru it to accomplish whatever goals they have in life.”

Man Who Started TV Network To Show Muslims in Positive Light, Beheads Wife

A Buffalo, NY man who started a TV network to show Muslims in a positive light, beheaded his wife who provided the inspiration for the network, according to police.

Muzzammil Hassan, 44, is charged with 2nd degree murder in the brutal beheading of his wife Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. The murder took place on Thursday (2/12) in the Orchard Park office of their company, Bridges TV.

The NPR (National Public Radio) profiled the Hassans in 2004. They talked about starting “A new cable network for Muslim-Americans” after 9/11 to “inform and entertain Muslims and, at the same time, give viewers who aren’t Muslims a glimpse into” their culture.

They described traveling from Buffalo to Detroit a few weeks after the September 11th terrorist attacks, and came up with the idea for the new network after hearing some “derogatory remarks about Muslims” on the car radio.

The couple separated last year and police say the victim had an order of protection against her estranged husband.

The murder weapon was not recovered.

HipHollywood has learned that Chris Brown has boarded a private plane headed to the East Coast. The move comes less than 24 hours after Brown was released on $50,000 bond for allegedly assaulting girlfriend Rihanna.

Law enforcement sources tell us the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon — we do not yet know the nature of the weapon. The crime report gives the victim’s name as Robyn Fenty — Rihanna’s real name.

Chris and the "female friend" (Rihanna) were leaving last night's Clive Davis party when the alleged assault occurred.

Chris Brown is under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery, the LAPD confirms to PEOPLE.

“The identity of the victim will not be released,” said Officer April Harding. “Any victim who’s involved in a domestic violence incident is entitled to confidentiality.”

Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, the R&B singer and a woman were in a vehicle in L.A. when they became involved in an argument, according to a police statement. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries
and identified Brown as her attacker, according to police.

The LAPD received a 911 call reporting the disturbance.When officers arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene, the statement reads. The LAPD is conducting an investigation into the incident. Earlier Saturday night Brown and girlfriend Rihanna were at the Recording Academy and Clive Davis’s Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills.

Hill, best known for the hit single “Umma Do Me,” plead ‘no contest’ to battery charges after he was accused of striking a woman at an Atlanta area nightclub. According to WSBTV, Hill pulled a woman’s hair and struck her in the face at a local nightclub in Feb. 2007. Authorities say the woman sustained injuries
to her face and eye, including a swollen, black-eye and broken blood vessels within the eye. Hill was ordered to spend 48 hours behind bars in addition to both completing an unspecified amount of community service hours and 12 months of probation Monday.

Eddie Curry’s 3 Year Old Son Sees Mother and Sister Murdered!!!!!!

The mother of former Chicago Bulls player Eddy Curry's 3-year-old son and and her infant daughter were shot and killed in her South Loop apartment, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Chicago police are reportedly looking for a "known acquaintance" of the woman related to the murders.

Curry, who plays for the New York Knicks, was at a game in Philadelphia Saturday. A Knicks source close to Curry described him as “distraught” on hearing the news of his former girlfriend’s death and what his son witnessed, according to The New York Daily News.

Nova Henry, 24, and her 9-month-old daughter Ava Henry, were found around 6 p.m. by a Henry's mother,who contacted police. Officers found Henry and Curry's son in the apartment, according to the Tribune.

Immediate family members did not comment but a man indentifying himself as Henry's uncle say they believe they know the who the gunman is.

"She had a stalker boyfriend," he said. "And she had a restraining order against him and she was trying to avoid all this."

Curry has had on-going tragedy in his personal life since being traded to the Knicks in 2005.

Last week, his former driver sued him for sexual harassment and racial discrimination, accusing Curry of unwanted advances, pointing a gun at him and making "abusive, anti-Semitic epithets."

In 2007, Curry's family was robbed in their suburban Chicago home by masked men who took cash and jewelry after duct taping the family in the house.

According to court papers, Woolard, who raps under the name Gravy, was charged with misdemeanor assault, menacing and harassment in connection with the Sept. 14 incident.

Woolard's wife, Trina Younger, called police following an early-morning altercation sparked by Woolard's late return home, said a source familiar with the police report.
The victim told police she dared Woolard to hit her, the report says.

The paperwork also indicates that Woolard admitted responsibility, allegedly telling cops, "She wouldn't stop pushing me, so I snuffed her."
